Description

Ponte Mazzini, originally called Gianicolense, connects the Tiber embankment opposite Via Giulia with Via della Lungara.It was designed by engineers Viani and Moretti and the construction works started in 1904 and were completed in 1908. The bridge is 106,15 m (118 yd) long and 17 m (19 yd) wide and is decorated with bronze lamps, ram heads, and ship rostra.
