Calling the 060608 Contact Centre or visiting the www.060608.it website, you can have information on tourist services and reception, on the cultural offer and events in the city.
The 060608 Contact Centre is open daily from 9.00 to 19.00, for the cost of a local call.
The service provides tourist and cultural information of the City of Rome.

Through the service, you can also buy by credit card tickets for museums, theatres and events, and collect them at the box office of the museums or theatres.

060608 provides detailed and updated information on urban transport service and mobility.

2. What can I book and/or purchase through the 060608 Contact centre?

By calling 060608, for the cost of a local call, you can book:
  • Guided tours, admission and workshops to Civic Museums for schools
  • Guided tours and admission to Civic Museums for groups
  • Shows and events held at the Planetarium
  • Workshops, birthday parties and educational activities at Technotown
  • Workshops and educational activities at Casina di Raffaello
  • Events managed by our Contact Centre (when expressly indicated)
  • Archaeological Monuments (only for cultural associations and/or groups)

By calling 060608, you can purchase:
  • the Roma Pass: the tourist card of the City of Rome (see also FAQ n° 10). Our operators rely on www.romapass.it for the purchase.
  • tickets for theatres, concerts, events, museums by credit card (FAQ n° 3). The 060608 service is delivered through the online ticketing system provided by the event organizers. A booking fee is applied when deemed necessary by the online ticketing system. Additional fees and charges are specifically mentioned by our operators during the transaction.

The advance purchase service provided by our Contact Centre is completely free.

3. What are the purchasing conditions?

To be able to make a purchase using our call center 060608, you must have given your consent to the processing of your personal data. This consent is required by the telephone registration when choosing the service. If you do not accept, you are asked to stop the communication.

The data provided will be processed as indicated in the Privacy Policy for the purposes of protecting personal data, in compliance with the provisions of the Legislative Decree. 196/03 and subsequent amendments and additions.
The purchase of tickets is only possible if you have an e-mail address and a credit card.
The purchase procedure is the same as that used by the online ticketing system used.
A necessary condition for the purchase of tickets online through our call center is to communicate to the operator who will carry out the transaction the personal data, those of your credit card and any security passwords provided by the credit card circuit used (security code, verify visa and more).

Bank data will be protected by the platform certified by the ticketing system used.

The credit card circuits accepted are those provided by the various online ticketing systems used.

At the end of the payment transaction, the used ticketing system sends a confirmation e-mail. The email will contain a booking code and, where applicable, the description of the event purchased, the date and the identification number of the seat purchased.
Tickets must be printed at home and / or collected at the box office of the venue on the day of the show and according to the methods and times described on the confirmation email.

For the on-site collection (where applicable) of the purchased tickets it will be necessary to communicate the data contained in the purchase confirmation email, accompanied by a valid identity document of the person indicated as in charge of the collection.
It is advisable to print a copy of the order and to show it when collecting the ticket, together with a valid identity document for the recognition of the registered buyer.
In case you collect tickets for someone else, you need an authorization letter of the purchaser with a photocopy of his identity card.

There is no refund of the paid ticket price, in the event of renunciation by the buyer.
Tickets not collected within the indicated time will not be refunded.
In case of cancellation of the event, the refund will be made only if provided by the Organizer.

4. Can I get these tickets delivered to my home address?

Our call center also offers home delivery of tickets for some theaters / concerts.
If the product purchased allows it, the buyer can choose the shipping service.
This service involves an additional cost to be paid by the buyer, calculated at the time of selecting the relevant option. The buyer has the right to indicate a delivery address for each completed order.

5. Can I receive visitor's promotional materials (brochures, maps, booklets, etc.) by regular mail to my address?

There is no delivery service for tourist information material.

The Tourist Infopoint, open 365 days a year from Monday to Sunday, located in the city centre, distribute free a wide range of thematic itineraries, official maps of Rome, informative material dedicated to the most important cultural events of the Capital.

The official map of Rome is available in a free, tear-off and in a folding version, the latter at a cost of € 1.50 each. Both maps are available at the Tourist Infopoints or can be downloaded at the following link

For the purchase of large quantities of maps, a request must be sent to the e-mail address: mapparoma@zetema.it
The cost of a block of 100 tear-off maps is € 7.80 (including VAT).

Institutions needing promotional material to be distributed at conferences or events may make a written and reasoned request to the Dipartimento Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda, by sending an e-mail to: turismo@comune.roma.it for subsequent evaluation of merit.

6. Can you suggest a restaurant and/or a hotel?

Our service provides information, therefore we cannot recommend any restaurant, hotel and/or business spaces.
Please visit www.060608.it for a complete list of the structures located in Rome.
If you click the Hospitality macro-area and then the eating and drinking section, you will get all the information you need on historic cafes,and restaurants.

7. How do I get an event or an accommodation listed on the website?

To get an event, a hotel, a restaurant, or a venue listed on the 060608 website, send your request to our editorial office at redazione@zetema.it, specifying a contact's phone. You will be contacted for more information.

After due verification, we will upload an information file.

8. How can I distribute my promotional materials through the Tourist Infopoints?

Printed material handed out in Tourist Infopoints must exclusively concern institutional events created by City of Rome, Lazio Region, Province of Rome and National events.

9. What is the Roma Pass? How and where can I purchase it?

Roma Pass is a 48 or 72 hours tourist card that entitles the holder to free or discounted access to some of Rome's top museums, as well as free use of the public transport system.

The Roma Pass can be purchased online by visiting www.romapass.it, and/or through one of our Tourist Infopoints when you arrive in Rome, or through our 060608 Contact Centre. Our operators will guide you through the best options, and indicate the most convenient pick-up location.
With the received confirmation code after the purchase, you can pick-up the card in the choosen location by showing your ID.

10. Are museums and public transport free with the Roma Pass? Do children have to buy the card?

Please check the current regulations governing admission to museums and archaeological sites run by the Municipality at www.museiincomuneroma.it/en, under the heading "Tickets and Reservation" of each museum.

12. Do I need permission to take photographs, videos or films in the City of Rome?

Yes, to take photographs or videos in the city of Rome, unless they were for personal use, you need permission (to be submitted at least 20 days before shooting begins) granted by to the Servizio Autorizzazioni Riprese Cinematografiche e Fotografiche di Roma Capitale (Authorisation Service for shooting films and taking photographs)
You need to fill in an Authorisation Form, available at the U.R.P. (Public Relations Office) of the Culture Department (P.zza Campitelli n. 7, tel. 06 67108164 - 06 67108170 , or visit Ufficio Autorizzazioni riprese cinematografiche e fotografiche.
To rent locations or shoot films and documentaries in Rome and in the Lazio region you must, contact the Fondazione Roma Lazio Film.

13. Can I reproduce photographic images or take photographs in museums and archaeological sites?

Yes, you can browse and buy online images of the museums and archaeological sites belonging to the Civic Museum Network.

To shoot and/or reproduce photographic images you must submit a request to the museum or institution where the work of art of your interest is located. Some museums offer the opportunity to apply for permission for the photoreproduction on their websites:

14. How do I get information and reports on the accommodation capacity in Rome?

On the website ENIT (official website of the National Tourism Agency),, you can find and download official information (thematic and monographic surveys) on tourism in the Italian regions.
Another useful website where you can purchase the latest statistics on tourism provided by Ente Bilaterale Turismo del Lazio (EBTL).
Surveys and statistics on State owned museums, monuments, archeological sites, archives and public libraries are available on the website of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Available a survey on cultural resource conducted by the ISTAT (Italian National Institute of Statistics).
Available also a study by Unioncamere, carried out by Istituto Tagliacarne and promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, on the Integrated economic system of the cultural heritage.
