Description
The Church, built to leave a tangible sign in the Jubilee year 2000, it’s a project by American architect Richard Meier (67), who did the Getty Center in Los Angeles, Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, Frankfurt Museum of Applied Art. Three big white sails made out of concrete characterize the Church, supported by glass walls. The numbers of the project: almost 14,000 cubic meter volume, 976 square meters of surface of glass, 40 meters of maximum external lenght, 31 width and 27 high; the three sails are 16,8 m; 22,1m; 26,7 m high; 20 m that of the bell tower.
