Description
In 1662 Francesco Henry ordered the construction of a hospital for the Burgundian colony that was in Rome, who was then annexed to a chapel dedicated to the two patron saints Andrea and Claudio. In 1729 the French architect Antoine Dérizet committed the remaking of the church. The façade, divided into two orders, opens upwith a portal within a rounded arch sided by the Santi Claudio and Andrea (the latter by Luc François Breton) in the lower one. In the upper level we find a window and a tympanum to crown the structure. The interior embodies a Greek-cross plan, a central dome, and it is adorned by polychrome marbles. There are then works by Antonio Bicchierai, Jean Françoisde Troy and Placido Costanzi.
